I had been going to SoCal Smiles Dentistry for about 4 years and was very happy with the Dr. Ganatra and his staff. Then Dr. Ganatra sold the practice to Dr. Scott Karafin around January 2016. Of course I was not informed of the change until after the my next cleaning at the end of January at which time I was given a new, more extensive treatment plan.
On June 14, 2016 I went in for a crown and three fillings. It took three tries for the dental technician to take the impression for the temporary crown. She also gave the dentist the wrong size fixture when he took his impression. When I returned two weeks later on June 29th for the installation of the final crown, the temporary had to be drilled out because it appeared it was put in with the wrong type of cement. Then they tell me the color of the permanent crown does not match my other teeth and it has to be remade. Again, it took the dental technician three (3) tires to get a good impression for the new temporary crown. Finally, two week later on July 13th, the permanent crown was installed.
To make things worse, on August 23 one of the three fillings that were done on June 14th, came out and had to be redone.
The other two now need to be replaced but I am through with this dentist.
