I am always impressed by the atmosphere and service at Agea. However, I have to say I left feeling disappointed. I typically have massages with Lauren and she dose an AMAZING job!My husband and I both payed for a hot stone massage because the ones I have had with lauren are totally worth the extra money... the ones we got on Thursday were not worth the upgrade. We should have just stuck with a regular massage as the portion with hot stones left much to be desired. With lauren, she would incorporate the stones throughout the entire massage and they were like an extension of her hands as she would massage you. Both John and I had the same experience on thursday where they would massage your back and then twice they grabbed a stone and slid it over your back (not while massaging... just kind of moving it around). They also rubbed it on the bottom of our feet for a little bit. And that was it. That was all she wrote. Not stones on the arms or the legs. It seemed like the they didn't know what they were doing in comparison to lauren. Don't get me wrong. We really enjoyed out time and the massage was good... but if that is the way a hot stone massage goes without lauren, it's just not worth my money.
Leah, I am so sorry you & John were disappointed with your recent massages with us. Unfortunately, I don't think we communicated well with you the difference between our 75 minute Full Body Hot Stone Massage (which you have always had in the past with Lauren) & the 90 minute Signature Massage with a Hot Stone Add On. With the add on, there are typically just a few stones used in key areas of tension or soreness & the majority of the massage is a Swedish relaxation massage. For the Full Body Hot Stone Massage, the stones are the significant focus of the massage and are used throughout the entire massage while also incorporating some different massage techniques. Again, I apologize for our failure in explaining this adequately to you when you booked the appointments. I will be calling you personally to discuss scheduling another opportunity for us to provide the services you have loved in the past.
