It was the furthest experience from a spa, in my opinion.
The entrance was pleasant in appearance. I was greeted. I'm glad I brought a drink, because I was never offered one and was waiting for water to be offered, but it never happened. The person who did my service was never introduced, nor ever introduced herself. The water was already filled and wasn't very hot. The presentation of the area was pleasant. I was comfortable. I felt the presentation of the choices for polish colors looked tacky sitting in a bowl with broken displays. As for the pedicure, I feel the the technician lacks experience. I made 2 specific requests, which were ignored. My nails were filed crooked as a result. The bottom of my feet were left with lots of dead skin. When she filed the bottom of my feet she applied no pressure. I will now have to make another appointment to have my heels done next week somewhere else, as I was trying to have my feet done before a surgery I have coming up and I won't be able to have a pedicure for weeks afterwards, as I will have to be on a possible 8 wk. bedrest. The technician lacks attention to caution when filing and nipping, as I was painfully poked several times. I also didn't like having to wear my shoes while I was being polished, as I had expensive leather shoes on and I was worried she would get polish on them. If this is the spa's procedure (as I was told) then there should be a paper towel placed between the toes and shoe. This was my first visit here, and I was excited to experience this place, so it saddens me to say that I would not recommend Amenities based on this experience. If I returned, I would ask for their most experienced technician, so I may possibly have a better experience next visit.
