I went here because my cat was in a fight and it was too late to go to my regular animal hospital. 3 of the 4 nurses I encountered were extremely condescending, and spoke to me as if I were a child. When I inquired about some of the items on the bill that I was being charged for, I could see the nurse roll her eyes. I was really calm and normal, and she was treating me like I was a mess or going to fly off the handle or something. I work in emergency services with people who are in crisis, and I would never treat anyone the way she treated me-- no sense of authenticity. The bill was outrageous. My cat had to have a surgery a couple of years ago and Echo Park Animal Hospital, which cost $400--for surgery, drain, cone, anesthesia, take home anti biotic and pain med, and suture removal. This place charged us over triple that amount for the same thing-- MINUS follow up appt and suture removal. When we paid the bill before we took our cat home, they had charged us for overnight stay--and the nurses there were not "authorized" to take it off of the bill that night. So we have to call back to get it taken off, which is silly.
Some positive notes are that Dr. T was really nice, and called to see how my cat was doing the next day. So did the Echo Park Hospital though, for $900 less. They also seem like they did a good job with her stitching and surgery, and the medication they prescribed is working well so far.
