My kids actually LOVE going to the dentist - its a special occasion for them.

Dr. Libby is so personal with all 4 of my kids, even if they are not the ones getting the cleaning. She and her team always thoroughly explain any concerns.

And...what kid does not want to play in a "spaceship" while they wait for their appointment.

They no longer take our insurance so we're having to pay more for out of network, but after searching for almost a year for a dentist close and that we knew does a great job - we came back to DRPD.

I have had many positive experiences here except for yesterday. I had made an appointment, at the same time, to fill my sons cavity and another cleaning. I recently had a baby, so I am sleep deprived, wich made me confused on which appointment this was. I received many emails and text messages saying he had an appointment, but it didn't say what would happen during his appointment. I didn't have enough time to feed him after school/before the appointment, so he was going to eat after. He was numbed so much that he couldn't eat after. It would be helpful for a reminder of what will happen during the appointment in the email and/or text message reminders to alleviate the stress I had during and after his appointment.

This was our most unpleasant and disappointing appointment at desert ridge pediatric dentistry.

There were several reasons. We had 7:00 am appointments. We did. It leave the office until 8:45.

I had a very difficult time understanding most of the people I was in contact with during our visit. Either because of the level of volume and amount of other noise or due to thick accents.

My daughters names were misprounced multiple times even after being corrected.

And, I felt like I was shamed on more than once occasion by more than one employee that morning.

Our family of 3 girls have been patients of Dr. Libby's office for 8 1/2 years and up to this point it has been an amazing experience. Each of our girls actually love going to the dentist and get excited about going an dit has been amazing, up to this point. Our oldest daughter actually wanted to have her 4th birthday party at the dentist office! She even asked me to call and inquire about it. All because of the good experience there.

We did not ever see Dr. Libby on this particular appointment, but unfortunately will most likely not be returning. Which has been disheartening. What's makes my heart even more sad is that as I have talked to other parents in our community I have had a few others that said they had a similar experience at their last appointments as well.

The fun of this office seems to have been lost. Cleanings were rough. Financial situation is frustrating. You are told this is a covered benefit. Then you go to checkout and it's not and are expected to pay right now. Charges are excessive. And friendliness in the office is nearly non-existent. I used to love to take my kids here. Very disappointing.
