Thank you so much for helping us get our pug Felix back to a healthy state. We had been warned by a previous vet, who took only one test, that his liver was in poor shape and being that he was 11 it could be a long road to recovery if he could manage it. After a bad stomach issue thought to be caused from the "sludge" from Harvey's floodwaters, 2 vet visits due to displacement of our original vet, and major concern about Felix's quickly deteriorating health we brought him to Bayou City Veterinary Hospital. All of his symptoms had re-emerged just a week after his 1st ordeal with the prior vets and we knew it had to be something serious.
Dr. Flores and her team were very gentle and kind to our sick pug. They were thorough with their questions and testing. The communication that they have with the concerned pet owner is great I never once felt like I wasn't aware of my dog's condition. I greatly appreciated the insight as most vets in the past let you go through the waiting game. They found that whatever had effected his system had caused a pretty bad infection and made sure to give us all not only antibiotics but meds to ease his poor little stomach as he had been in so much pain. It eased our minds a great deal as we were beginning to think our little senior pug may be at the end of his journey. We are so grateful to find that he not only is healthy but is expected to make a full recovery after his system recovers from the infection. We found our experience with Dr.Flores to be very good and will definitely recommend her for our friends' fur-babies. They have a great atmosphere in their office and everyone there loves the animals. Upon our arrival Felix was accessed and given a bandana to calm him, as he get very shaky and anxious at the vet, it helped a lot! Thanks again for taking such good care of our little furry family member we are so glad to have him back to his happy "pug mode"!
