Before submitting this review, I made several attempts to contact the owner by phone and email to no avail.

My appointment was for lowlights. It turned out that the lowlights ended about three inches above the length of my blonde hair.

I rescheduled to have the color corrected / connected to the ends and was charged AGAIN. The manager explained that the stylist (the same one) needed to be compensated for her time.

This process was time-consuming and I was very disappointed with the double expense. I planned to never return to the salon again.

A favorite stylist came back to work at the salon and so I did make an appointment with her (as an exception). I can honestly say my lowlights look amazing and I have received many compliments!

During that visit, I noticed a GIANT sign promising 100% satisfaction with the service or a correction would be no charge. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist at the front desk who was very kind and professional. She was very surprised that I was charged again and at how much I was charged. She assured me that she would discuss it with the owner and try to make it right, even if it was a store credit.

I have followed up with phone calls and emails and patiently waited before sharing my experience.

Have been an exclusive Aveda Salon patron for cut and coloring for the past 6 years, in every city I've moved to. I was very excited when moving to Salem to find this salon, I was sadly disappointed. My first visit I just asked for a hair cut, I brought some photos to show how my hair was cut/styled. The stylist I was assigned to gave me the worst hair cut of my life, he absolutely butchered it and it took 2 months or more to grow out so I could get it fixed. The next visit I asked for a different stylist, and had a cut/color done. I brought the formula from my previous stylist so the color was fine, and while the cut wasn't awful, it wasn't great either. I decided to give her another try, scheduled a visit, and got a confirmation text the day before for my stylist. I arrive at the appointment, only to find out that I am scheduled with the first stylist who butchered my hair. No warning that the stylist I was scheduled with had a family emergency, which I can understand. But don't just reschedule me with someone else without letting me know and choose whether to reschedule for another day. Needless to say, I did not get my hair done that day. I will not be going back at any time. The next time I change cities I will look for an Aveda salon again, but until then I will continue going to another salon here in Salem.

The manicure was standard, and while I was in the room another provider brought a client in to pick a color, then left the door open when they left. My provider made a comment about"multiple music" as I could hear several sources of noise with the open door, but my provider just commented "rude" and didn't get up to close the door!!

The shakra balancing pedicure was amazing...even if the tucked-in curtained location off the pedi chairs was not great, and the pedi chairs were but massage chairs. The scrub and lotion, ask scented Thu balance you, were lovely!! It was a vastly different pedicure experience, but one I enjoyed immensely!!
