This was my second visit to Cortello, I went once nearly two years ago for a hair color fix but found that it was simply too expensive for me to continue with that senior stylist. I shopped around for a bit when I wasn't doing much to my hair besides cut and style. With the arrival of fall 2016, I wanted another color change and decided to return to Cortello because I felt like their color services are just higher end and if you're going to trust someone to change the color of your hair, you better have confidence in their abilities. And Cortello delivered. The color change wasn't dramatic, but it was exactly what I wanted. The best part is that my hair did not stink like chemicals and pefumey dyes, like I'd experienced elsewhere. I liked my stylist. We probably did not hit it off like some customer/stylist relationships can go, but she did what I asked and made my hair look nice. The only thing I really do not like about Cortello is the push to sell products at the end of service. I get that they need to make money, but trying to sell me styling cremes and shampoos that cost twice as much as normal ($45 for shampoo???) right before I drop even more cash on a service isn't necessary. If I like your service, I'll be back. And I witnessed this with almost every client I saw while I waited for my stylist. Please Cortello, back off a bit! Otherwise, it was great and I will be back for a cut and color. Just not products.
