There was no communication/feedback from the orthodontist. This is my child's first experience at GMS Orthodontics and a proper introduction from the doctor would have been nice. Also, knowing what they (orthodontist and assistant) were about to do next and why would have been nice. There was very little communication with the patient and the orthodontist unless a question was asked to them. This is new to us so communication and feedback is key to making a new young patient feel comfortable (i.e. "I am Dr. Smith or we are putting the braces on to..., you will wear the brace for approximately..., This is a starter kit for...). I am sure this is quite routine for the orthodontist and staff to do the day-to-day things on the job but we are not routine patients and would appreciate some communication or at least know the name of orthodontist and staff working with us. It's just good customer service which GMS has been lacking for a long time.
