Lovely Pattie, the hygienist, cleaned my teeth yesterday, which is always an enjoyable visit (seriously!). She is very skilled and efficient at her job, and takes care to avoid touching exposed roots. Dr. Kayton is currently replacing the childhood silver fillings with composite resin fillings so they are no longer visible when I laugh. Our insurance seems to cover most or all of the expense of replacing very old fillings, and Dr. Kayton will ask Kim at the front desk (who handles the insurance claims), to calculate the costs of procedures in advance for you.
He has also bonded a perfectly-matched-to-my-teeth material, to fill the space between my front teeth. This material is bonded to the inside of each front tooth, and crafted and shaped so that the new appearance is completely natural, the space disappears (it had needed constant flossing after eating), and is a perfect match to my teeth. (I am 69 years old.)
If you have any cosmetic work to be done to your teeth, I highly recommend Dr. Kayton! He is also extremely focused on the comfort of his patient while administering anesthesia, which he does so slowly, that there are almost zero unpleasant sensations, just a very rare mild moment of awareness of discomfort. The topical numbing product rubbed on the gums in advance makes a big difference too.
One can relax in his chair!
