I was pretty disappointed with my experience. My husband surprised me (a new mom) for my birthday with a massage. The massage therapist (Kristina, I think) never smiled once. She was so intense that it made me feel tense to the point that I really had to focus on relaxing. It took half the massage before I felt that I could really begin to relax. She was talented for sure, but so rude. She breezed over the fact that it was a birthday treat and that I was postpartum - you can't even say happy birthday or help me get excited to have my first pampering since having my baby? Again, no smiles, so intense...came across rude. Just that experience alone I would've given my experience 2-3 stars, but the reason I knocked it down to 1 star is because when I checked out, I was charged $75. When I got home and told my husband about my experience, he was shocked that I was charged $75 because he had called in for a special for a $50 massage and they assured him that that's what I'd get. He didn't pay over the phone because he didn't want me to suspect anything because we share our credit card and I would see the charge... So I paid after the service, not knowing what my husband had set up for me. So they charged us $25 more than we were told we'd be paying...and it was for a sub par experience. And I'd like to say it's the first time they've screwed us over regarding payment, but unfortunately it's not. I am so fed up with them that this might be my last time going there. Some "birthday treat"...thanks a lot, Luxe.
