Even after scheduling an appointment, it took over an hour and a half to get a contact and glasses prescription (without doing the extra tests OR getting my eyes dilated). After trying two different pairs of contacts, the doctor chose to work on another patient and required me to wait for 20 minutes so I could tell him the contact fitting was good. There was also a lot of confusion as to which contact lenses I would be getting, resulting in him almost giving me the wrong power. He only corrected the mistake when I let him know that the ones he had given me weren't the correct power.

The receptionist gave incorrect information about my healthcare coverage, meaning I paid way more out of pocket than expected; additionally

Master Eye Associates replied:

Dear patient,

We always strive to deliver the best eye care, and have many procedures in place to make every visit efficient and satisfactory. We file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients, but it is first and foremost a responsibility of the patient to know and be aware of their individual coverage. Since we were unable to convince you to provide us with your insurance information ahead of time, the verification of insurance benefits took place during your schedules appointment time. We appreciate your understanding in our needing to continue with our scheduled visits, though it led to your additional wait time. Contact lens evaluations are complex visits that may require the doctor to try multiple trials, before finalizing the RX. We have a 90 day follow-up policy where we can address any contact lens related concerns at no additional cost. Please, let us know if we may assist you in the future.

The best! All four vets have examined and cared for Bruce, each providing great patience, concern, affection, and treatment. Everyone, including the techs and front desk personnel, are incredibly friendly and helpful on the phone and in person, and they all know and love Bruce well. His first visit was with Dr. Kyle in 2014, shortly after we adopted him from friends who found him roaming the streets. He was severely underweight, was heart-worm and hook worm positive, and had wounds that suggested previous neglect and abuse. Dr. Kyle took the time to patiently explain his conditions, walk us through the recommended treatment options and answer all of our questions, all while playing with and loving on Bruce. He was completely healed and heart worm free within 8 months and has been doing wonderfully since then. Drs. Kyle, Flores, and Kirby have individually performed 3 Mast Cell Tumor removal surgeries on him since September, and each has been successful with short recovery times. I really cannot recommend Bayou City Vet enough!
