Frances works on the front desk is friendly and the hygienist Martina is patience and careful.
Only one thing I do not understand is Dr.Steve had 2 mins checking on my teeth Is that call periodic oral evaluation?

Hi Kate,
First of all I'd like to thank you very much for leaving that review-it is immensely helpful in making sure that we are meeting the needs of our patients. I understand your concern that the contact with me appeared to be brief when you were in last so I'd like to explain what the periodic oral evaluation (POE) entails.
For every POE I review the chart ahead of time and note the history of the patient and review all relevant xrays, even if they were not taken at that time. This can take a fair amount of time depending on the patient's dental history and is done in my office since we have the ability due to our digital patient charts and xrays. Prior to this newer technology this would all be done in front of the patient by necessity and usually after the hygienist was done thus necessitating a longer appointment time .
After that I review information that my hygienist has gathered and finally I physically check the teeth, gums and soft tissue personally. If the patient is looking very healthy and all is good this last part may not take much time at all. This was the case with you and often is with patients with very healthy oral/dental health and very little prior dental work.
Looking to the future in regards to your dental care, depending on what your dental needs are, your direct contact with me may vary significantly from visit to visit. But please know that we are extremely thorough in your dental/oral care and that we work hard to be efficient in the delivery of that care by utilizing the best in technology and effective protocols.
