I brought my 3-year old daughter in for a dental emergency since she cannot eat properly without pain. I found the reception staff and hygienist reasonably kind but I would not say they were overly child-friendly or too concerned about the matter.
After consulting with the dentist for 5 minutes, she never returned to speak with me about the questions or concerns I had regarding dental surgery. After being informed that the surgery needs to be done as soon as possible, I was told it would be a minimum 4-6 month wait and that she should eat soft foods for that length of time. The dentist was not available to talk with. I left feeling very worried.
I went for a second opinion elsewhere and was given a different diagnosis and a surgery date for next week because the work is more serious than previously thought at Kids R Us. I am very thankful that I did not wait 4-6 months or for a cancellation text at Kids R Us, but instead I found an amazing pediatric dentist elsewhere who I will take all my kids to from now on for their dental cleanings!
