I appreciated the clear, technical insight in troubleshooting my Mini Cooper. The plan was clear and executed in the time proposed. A couple of items in question, type of spark plugs used and the need for water pump replacement, that had been performed by a MINI dealership or recommended were determined not the best decisions. This avoided an expensive water pump replacement at this time.
Since this car was new to me I invested in a comprehensive examination of the vehicle. Several items were found and recommended for immediate attention, some to watch and consider later. I chose to handle some items myself while leaving the technical repairs to them.
The examinations and repairs were not cheap. Overall bill was $1200. But after head gasket cover and gasket replacement, and induction system cleaning this vehicle, 65k miles, has significantly improved performance. Including the elimination of surging during constant acceleration. This is something the MINI dealership neither diagnosed or fixed.
I'm satisfied with the both the customer interaction and actual service to the vehicle and would recommend this business to others.
