We had a wonderful time at the spa today! Service was wonderful - better than it has been for a while. Lunch was amazing as always - the facial was very relaxing - and despite the rain, we had a place to sit indoor by the pool. Paige went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. Kudos to her - she is truly an asset to the club.

I went in for a massage...massage was great. Loved it. When we got there I placed my lunch order. My massage was scheduled at 12:00pm and pool side lunch at 1:30. Massage was over around 1:00pm went to the locker room and changed into my swimsuit and went to the pool area to enjoy my day..1:30pm came and lunch was not there...1:45 came and still no lunch and at this time no one had come to tell us why we did not have our lunch yet...so I went to the front desk and asked...her response was - we ran out of chicken...she said that they went to get more chicken from the restaurant and that my lunch should be ready soon...I went back to the pool area and waited another 15 minutes...still no lunch...so, one of the girls that works there came by and I told her what was going on..I'm disappointed that besides her NO ONE came or I should say took the initiative to come to us and tell us what was happening - at that time she brought us some mimosas (on the house) and apologized (not her fault) a few minutes after that our lunch came - it was ok (the lunch) portion seemed less than the last time I was there but ok. We were still hungry so she brought us the peanut butter granola banana bites (it was delicious)
Bottom line...no one from the Customer Service ever came and talk to us or apologize or anything and if we got the bites and the mimosas it was because I had to go and ask - hey where is my lunch?? Very poor Customer Service. Also, how in the world you run out of "chicken" when every entrée you offer is made with chicken??
Again, massage was great. BUT Customer service - was very poor. I expect better Customer Service specially at Rock Barn.
It was a great day but the water in the rock waterfall had a bad smell to it. Also, the concierges kept forgetting to bring things that I ordered and I had to retrieve myself. Otherwise the pool, hot tub and spa service was great.
I love love Rock Barn! I have received a number of services - massages, facials, and pedicures and can’t say enough about their skills and professionalism. I have also used the pools and other amenities. The facility is clean and well maintained. Definitely a treat and has got me through some rough patches. When I have brought guests, they are always thrilled and impressed that we have such a wonderful spa in our area. Prefer the Rock Barn over other spas in Asheville.
I had a facial with Julie and a hot stone massage with Clay. Both were awesome. The only complaint I have is that while relaxing outside, a lawnmower was being used right below the deck. Not very peaceful...
