I have never had a bad color experience at a salon, until now. I went in to use a gift certificate and specifically asked for a stylist with expertise in coloring curls. The stylist ended up recommending a method not used on curls and, as it turned out, a method my normal stylist uses, only I didn't recognize it because she performed it wrong. I learned later it had also been discouraged by her supervisor. By applying my blonde in all foils first, and then going back to apply an all-over red, my blonde was over processed and diluted and the red actually came out black (again, I believe due to over processing) My hair looks almost gray because of the black with a few small ash highlights. They applied a 20% discount to the service, but again, it was a gift certificate, so I wasn't out any cash anyway. Now it is going to COST me money to fix it.
