After being told by another dentist in the Woodlands that I needed to have my tooth removed, and referred to an oral surgeon (for a regular tooth extraction & an implant), I decided to go to Lovett for a second opinion. They were able to see me within a day! The dentist there was so nice and told me all I needed was a root canal. This was a way better option! I got my root canal, felt absolutely no pain and was ready to continue on with my day immediately after! Thank you to all the staff at Lovett!

Staff was not good at explaining procedures or needed treatments. The child needed a crown. Parent asked for sedation as the child has high anxiety and fear with dental procedures. While taking care of insurance needs they already took him back and wanted to start the procedure. The hygentist stated she was unaware of the request for sedation. This concerns me as it appears lack of staff communication and lack of meeting the needs of the patient. The staff seem rushed and non attentive. This is a concern as well. Especially for mistakes. Hygentist spoke to 8 year old abrasively about his plaque build up and not brushing well. He was crying because of the abrasive lecture from the hygentist. A better approach would be to take the time to explain, demonstrate and educate the child. It appears a number of the staff is not sensitive to the emotional needs of the children. This obese ration Is in comparison to the previous 4 dentists my children have had. Unfortunately we moved and can no longer use them.
My first visit I did not leave with a good first impression just based certain things I encountered. However, I decided to give it a second try and to my surprise it was great. I tend to have anxiety and just the thought of being in a dentist office is nerve wrecking. Thankfully the staff made me feel comfortable and the service I received was exceptional. Had I had a better first impression I would of given five stars.
Dr. Blake Childers was wonderful....he made me feel at ease and comfortable....he explained everything to me and made sure I didn't leave the office until I did....the staff was remarkable....I will be back...
My appointment was at 11 and I arrived 15 minutes early. I did not get back in the dental chair until 11:30. My procedure did not get started until around 12:15 I did not get finished with my procedure until 1:20. Not sure if they overbooked or what. My procedure went well. I did not receive any information about what to expect. I didn't ask about aftercare treatment and I guess I should have. Woke up the next day and really was not sure if what I was experiencing was normal. Overal a great place just was not particularly impressed with this visit. Staff is very friendly.
