Always a pleasant experience at Lovett Dental. Front desk staff is always polite, friendly and helpful. Wait time in very minimal and waiting area is a calming atmosphere. Rachel, dental hygienist, is always professional, friendly and is awesome at what she does.
I was scheduled at nine and the dr doesn't even get there until after ten , so my 2 year old five minute cleaning took forever and the happy excited mood was gone by the time we saw the dentist. The techs and dr were great but the front desk doing the scheduling was the issue and it's the second time this has happen . I'm looking for a new office
I love Dr Plaivech as a dentist. He has amazing experience and does excellent work. I was not impressed w the hygienist he had. She did not know basic positions and techniques. The dr was very patient w her, but she did stab my tongue 2x, didn't have all the supplies ready, really caused me a lot of anxiety due to poor technique. Really seemed like she was inexperienced and/or didn't care at all about patient care.
My appointment was for a routine semi-annual cleaning. While the TV and magazines in the lobby are nice, it would have been much nicer if I had not had to wait so long to get seen. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, filled out an update sheet, and then sat for the next hour and ten minutes. After waiting for what seemed forever, I got up and was going to leave, but I decided to ask a staff member how long it takes for cleaning appointments to be seen. The lady had no clue who I was or why I had been sitting in the lobby. She told me to "wait a minute" and two or three minutes later, came back and led me to the tooth cleaning tech, who was very nice. No one mentioned or apologized for the long wait. I am sure the office staff would have just let me sit there until the office closed at 5:00 pm. Perhaps it would be a good idea to suggest to the staff that instead of spending so much time chatting with each that they communicate with the people occasionally waiting in the lobby. Just a suggestion.
I will never go back here. I waited for over an hour to have my son seen. I was under the understanding they were going to do a little work at a time, as much as my son could tolerate. But instead they number his entire mouth to do all the work. After literally 40 minutes of shots and numbing my son couldn't tolerate any more. I thought they were doing work this entire time. They have me settle him down assuring me they are almost done. 15 minutes later after my son had been crying and upset they go to
( finish) and because they took so long by numbing his entire mouth and I had to settle my son down he was NO longer numb enough for work to get done. And they were NOT almost done. They had only done ONE filling. By this point we have been in the office a total of 3 hours. My 7 year old went through all pain of shots, numbness, uncomfortablness for over 1 straight hour for only ONE filling to get done.My son is now terrified to go to any dentist.
