A-1 Automotive Repair and smog shop opened for business in 1990 and has been faithfully providing complete automotive repair services to Bakersfield and all of Kern County, California since then. Tanner Byrom, owner of the shop, is Bakersfield born and raised, and he prides himself on doing honest work for a fair price. As a result, A-1 Automotive Repair has gained a reputation for excellence in quality service. And now we are a certified California Star Smog Check Station.
A-1 Automotive Repair and Star Smog Station is conveniently located at 2000 N. Union Avenue and we are open Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am 11:00 am. From replacing timing belts to exhaust analyzer testing to differential diagnostics to clutch service and replacement to engine service and rebuilds and running complete diagnostics on your car, A-1 does it all.
