I set an appointment for a transmition flush at 9am and was told it would be done in an hour after I dropped it off. I requested the top package to completely replace needed parts and purge the system. After I called multiple times to check and see why it was taking all day to finish the job the service advisor said that he ment it would be done in an hour after starting on the car (not starting at the apointment time). Easy miscommunication but should clearly state this up front. The main issue I had however was asking what all was done, the advisor failed to mention that I had a closed system and no filters were changed and nothing was added or replaced other than standard fluid. It was only after I spoke with the mechanic I found out that I was charged for extra services that I did not receive such as filters and gaskets.
The worst feeling you can have leaving a service center is being under the impression that a company just took advantage of the fact that you do not have in-depth knowledge about transitions up front and up selling you for services you do not need. I was charged $95 dollars for parts (fluid).
This is unfortunate because I was going to start using AAMCO for all of my family's cars needs.
