Mike Zirilo is crook!I paid $1600. for a heater core replacement on my 2000 landrover range rover and then another $4 and change for the thermostat when he and his staff allegedly could not figure out alternative to fix it.Come to find out they never changed either the heater core or thermostat!Which is why he tried to void out my warranties...I was in turmoil all summer.A local mechanic advised me to by past heater core and change thermostat.I did that after the truck no longer over heats.No heat in truck after byepast but truck runs and does not overheat.I still have the old thermostat,and old radiator stored.Caused of their neglect.Receipts and all....I believe compensation is in order...Better Business Bureau has been informed...Im waiting for a response besides the response I received that I have a case and to file claim against aamaco on boomfield avenue in montclair new jersey....smh!

I brought my 2004 Ford Escape to AAMCO Bloomfield. I describe the fact that my car 'misfired' when it was cold and when it was raining which I attributed to perhaps a need to have a 'tune up' as well as a loud noise in the engine that changed pitch when I turn the wheel left and right. Frankly, I thought I would need a tune up and a new power steering unit. I think a less reputable mechanic shop would have done just those things. Instead, Mike and team diagnosed the problem as a worn out pulley system on the fan belt that damaged the alternator. Mike even supplied another symptom of the trouble that I had not even thought to mention: the fact that the engine would change RPMs without reason while both idling and while driving. I have only done a road test on the Garden State, but all these issue appear to be resolved. Great Work, everyone.

Great staff, Mike (manager/owner) is extremely professional. I felt like everything was truthful and that he cared. Place was really clean. I had to go back 3 times though for same (similar issue). First day I waited well over 6 hours come to find out 1 part that was ordered, was never picked up by delivery person. That was not good of fair to me as a customer. But overall, i felt like they were taking care of me.

Also, on the 2 other days, the garage didn't open until 8:15a but the sign says open 8:00a. That is a concern to me as my wife was late to work as I counted on the shop opening as published.

Little nervous initially based on Yelp reviews but Mike was very comforting, knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. They did a great job with my baby (car), took great care of it and was very fast. They're local so definitely plan to send my other vehicle to this location and recommend to others. They replaced a starter in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata which only had about 64,000 miles. Got the car and it started right away, haven't had problems since. They also checked the rest of the car just in case anything else was wrong. Great job. Thanks!!
