I have been getting my hair cut by Ardien for a few years now & don't mind making the hike uptown east to see him because I love what he does.
I came to the salon on friday (5th May) & booked for a haircut but no blowout. I had no plans to go out that evening & was going to the gym the next day, so didn't see the point of paying for a blowout. Ardien finished cutting my hair & had some time before his next client & offered to quickly dry it for me. I was subsequently charged for the blowout when I went to pay. I didn't want to kick up a fuss & love my hairdresser, so I just paid up. Had I known, I would have just blown out my own hair & saved myself $30. I don't feel the 10 minutes it took to dry my hair warranted being charged for a blowout that usually takes a lot longer & looks more polished. As I said, my hairdresser is a brilliant, talented stylist & I don't want to seem negative but this kind of irked me.
