I went in for an issue with a clunking noise on acceleration and was noticing some squealing in my brakes and asked to have that checked out too. Was told my motor mounts were bad and agreed to have them all replaced. I also had my axle seals replaced because I was told there was a transmission fluid leak. Got my car back after almost a week, and probably paid way too much for the repairs. My brakes were never looked at and had to fix the issue in my driveway. It was a bent brake dust cover by the way that took less than 30 seconds to bend back into place. I also started noticing a random coolant leak that I get to chase down now that appears to be coming from one of the hoses by where my battery box is located that I know had to be removed to replace one of the mounts. I know my hoses are good because they were just inspected prior to going to aastro and I checked them myself. It’s hard to believe it’s just a coincidence. I also went in with a quarter of a tank of gas that should have lasted about 100 miles and when I got my car back I was almost on empty. I understand they had to test drive to make sure it was good, but almost 100 miles to check motor mounts seems ridiculous to me and hard to justify, which brings me back to the brake squeal issue..it was very obvious and don’t know how/why it wasn’t addressed while the shop had my vehicle. I will say, there has been no clunking noises since I’ve gotten my car back, but I’m not going to be returning for any kind of service again. On top of that, my leather driver’s seat, floor mat, and carpet were covered in what I assume to be grease and were all black as heck. (All tan interior so it’s very obvious). I had lots of fun cleaning that up.
