My visit at this vet was horrible they try to charge you for things you don’t need convince you that is necessary and make you feel bad until you agreed to it. The workers are scared to handle big dogs they think they’re aggressive when my dog was just nervous they are very rude and don’t know how to handle dogs properly. Worst vet experience ever it used to be good awhile ago but all these new worker dont know how to do their jobs

A neighbor recommended this location since I was told the pricing was reasonable. I have been going to Tri-City vet for about a year and before that, I lived in San Jose where I traveled 30 miles to see an excellent vet in Morgan Hill. I take a holistic approach when it comes to my dogs, and I do not believe in oral flea medications or over-vaccinating/medicating. I understand you are running a business, but the astronomical amount of money that was to be charged to me for a simple tooth scaling and skin tag removal was completely ridiculous.

I do not appreciate a vet suggesting all of these unneeded medications and flea/heartworm tactics to make money off of me and others. I came in for a vaccination update, that is ALL I wanted, and to ask about teeth cleaning.

This is where things became infuriating for me. I agreed to the blood test for my 3-year-old dog, which has no health issues on record, for the teeth cleaning BEFORE I was given a quote for the cleaning. That mistake was on me for missing that detail. I should have asked for the quote first before doing the bloodwork--but, when I ask other neighbors, they say that the bloodwork quote is usually included in the entire quote and shown all at once. So, I thought that was pretty sneaky. To top everything off, I was told I'd be charged a fee for having a 'difficult dog'--but they waived it and made a note at the top of my receipt that I would be charged the difficult dog fee on my next visit. Apparently, they don't want my business anyway!

Here are my two cents...if you have employees that cannot handle animals or are too scared to handle dogs over 40 lbs, then you need to either hire people who are strong enough to handle bigger dogs or go into another line of business specializing in toy breeds. My dog is traumatized over going to the vet, and you want to charge ME a FEE because my dog is terrified? If you allowed the owners to be in the room while the dog received a vaccination or blood draw, maybe the dog wouldn't try to get away.

I have found a vet who will charge me half the price Aborn quoted, and I checked with the NextDoor app on this place and they agreed that there are many who have been swindled into doing things that were unnecessary.
