Dr. Abousaif and his staff are nothing short of professional and caring, he has a wonderful bedside manner. I put off my first colonoscopy out of fear of finding a doctor that could make me feel comfortable enough to having the procedure. A relatively new prep made the process tolerable and his explanation of the findings were easy to understand and made me feel like the next time will be that much easier. I would highly recommend Dr. Abousaif to anyone looking for a very good gastro doctor.

Generally speaking I'm satisfied with the office and Dr. Alaa Abousaif at St. Joseph Pavilion. However I would like to make a couple of comments:
1 - when I visited the office before having the colonoscopy I arrived around 20 minutes late and I was told that I had to reschedule the appointment. No other option was offered to me in spite that I was willing to wait.
On my second visit I was on time and I had to wait for the NP. She excused herself on the traffic.
On my my follow up appointment I was on time I had to wait in a room for over 35/40 minutes. Busy day, I was told.
I understand both reasons for the delay but it would be great to see some reciprocity with the patient.
2 - in my last visit I was prescribed a medicament that I allergic to.

Connie was most informative and understanding. She provided answers for all my questions, gave me treatment options and I did not feel rushed. I am pleased that she was so knowledgeable and felt very comfortable with her. The entire office staff is always very professional.
