To be honest, she hit a blood vessel near my eye and I now have a large bruise and bump that has yet to go away. That has never happened with Botox before. I also have a purple bruise on my forehead. In addition, she had some unnecessary critiques of my skin. She asked if I'd like a consult with a skincare expert to get a cream for melasma. I also was unhappy with the lip injections she administered, back in May. They wound up being asymmetrical and wore off in 3 months. I will continue to go to About Face, because I have a pre-purchased package, but I will only book with Sarah.
Thank you for the feedback!
Although we do everything we can to prevent it from occurring, unfortunately bruising / swelling is an unavoidable risk anytime the skin is being punctured.
I'm sorry if Lauren's skin questions were unwanted. We live in a world where we think / obsess / focus on skin all day, everyday, and therefore we sometimes fall into the trap of thinking everyones' brains work like that. She was only trying to be helpful, no offense was intended.
We are always available for follow-up appointments, and our constant end-goal is to make you happy. If you had concerns about a previous lip treatment, I wish you would have contacted us sooner so that we could helped you and prevented any upset. There are numerous options to correct asymettry, and we would have been happy to see you for this. (Everyone metabolizes dermal-filler at different rates, but 3-months would be an unusually short amount of time.)
Please feel free to contact us privately to let us know if you'd like to come back in 2-weeks for a follow-up from yesterday's visit, and to review your lip concerns. (You are welcome to see any injector you like!)
Hope you're having a nice day, and we'll look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
