I am very dissatisfied with my service. I had my haircut by Lynn and consulted with her about coming back in for color. She utilized swatches as we discussed what I was looking to do and booked an appointment. When I got into her chair, I showed her a picture and discussed what I was expecting. Lynn then changed her mind. She lifted my hair 1/2 shade lighter than my natural, instead of 1 shade lighter. Instead of the neutral toned ombré ends, which were supposed to start from my cheekbones down, I now have red and orange in my hair. After processing my hair, Lynn dried it and I could see no variation in color. Lynn offered to do it over because "she played it too safe" and I excepted her fixing her mistake. She then told me if I wasn't blond as a child, I shouldn't have blond (what?) in my ombré ends. We're talking a level 6 or 7 from my level 4. What happened next was unbelievable! She teased my ends, slapped on the lightener, and viola, my hair is nothing like the color or the application I requested. I now am out $170 and have to seek corrective color somewhere else. Besides being in shock over how poorly she treated me, I was baffled she seemed to not notice the color was not even right. She was too distracted about meeting her husband for a church function (he didn't end up going-I was sitting in the chair long enough to know) I guess, to care about the results. Never going back there again! As the owner, Lynn, shame on you. You should care enough to be honest with your abilities and opinions in the consultation. If it wasn't a request you wanted to fulfill, then don't pretend it sounds good. I will write Aveda a letter as well. Despite the continuing education certificates you have pinned up, I have never been to an Aveda salon that represents so poorly.
