We were a little scared since it would be our dog's first visit to a vet. However, the staff at the Animal Clinic of Honolulu were so welcoming and helpful with us while we were trying to adjust our very scared dog to this new environment. I've been to a couple of other vets on O'ahu with previous dogs, but this by far, was the best experience we've ever had. I would highly recommend this vet to all!
I called late on a Friday afternoon for an appointment to investigate my dog's incredibly, horribly bad breath. I suspected a dental problem. Amelia booked an early Monday morning appointment. Dr. Leara examined her, suggested a dental cleaning with x-rays. Yes, x-rays! Who knew? I said yes because I was concerned about a decayed tooth being the source of the bad breath. The practice has become very busy over the years so I was pleased when we were offered a same day procedure. Dr. Leara also okayed the removal of a suspicious spot from her snout while she was under anesthesia. My dog was home before 5:00PM, a bit woozy from the anesthesia and wearing a tiger striped bandage where her IV had been.
The support staff have always been courteous to me and loving to my dogs. The doctors are professional, knowledgeable and happy to get down on the floor to do an examination. An estimate of cost is provided before the procedure.
Olivia and staff were very helpful with my Rotty NAIA in helping us get a last minute health certificate to travel. Dr Park was very kind and gentle with my girl and made us feel welcome even though she was very busy. What a great place with Aloha!
