I'm a late 20's female. I presented to Advanced Chiropractic with upper back pain. I was drawn to the office b/c they had an attractive promotion and they could get me in the next day.
Everything was okay with the appointment. The office was clean and the front desk staff were friendly, however, I felt very uncomfortable with the spinal exam/evaluation. It was not done by the chiropractor (which is fine with me, I understand the reasoning behind utilizing auxiliary staff), but I was asked to take my shirt and bra off and put a gown on. The man doing the spine evaluation left the room while I changed, but when he returned, it was just he and I in a very small room. I was uncomfortable to be essentially topless while someone without medical training placed different instruments/electronics on the bare skin of my neck and back. I would have felt more comfortable with a female, or with a male who had higher credentials than massage therapist. The gentleman that did the exam was nice, but not very professional in his appearance or his behavior.
One other thing I dislike about Advanced Chiropractic is that I continue to get notifications via text message, even though I have asked for the messages to be stopped.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm so sorry we didn't meet your expectations for a comfortable visit. Our massage therapists are Nationally Accredited and also professionally trained and certified as chiropractic assistants. We stress having professional staff with advanced training to care for your needs!
