I didn't have the experience I was hoping for. I went to get the Nexplanon and requested a STI test which required a vaginal swab. While my pants were down Dr Spalding highly recommended I get a Pap smear while I was there, and I felt I didn't have much time to make a decision as he insisted with "it will only take 2 mins". It felt very invasive and not something I was wanting done that day and my body language was making that pretty clear. I had also said today wasn't great as I had work I had to get to.
If I'm going to have a Pap smear, it's something I would like to decide on my own and set an appointment, not take 20 seconds to be pressured into having done. It was really uncomfortable to have my shirt and bra forcefully removed, poked, prodded, and pinched, in my private areas so that it will only take "2 mins".
I really like Dr Spalding, and trust him as my Gyno but I wish he was a bit more gentle and understanding if I don't want to have a procedure done.
