I had an appointment scheduled, for a few weeks. I also had an email confirmation to show I had an appointment scheduled. However, when I arrived, 15 minutes prior, my appointment “wasn’t in the system.” I was very disappointed. They staff squeezed me in for a quick complimentary facial. I have never had a facial before, sure I’ll try it out. I was less than impressed. I appreciate they tried to make it up to me, but I was so disappointed my appointment was messed up. I have my massage rescheduled for later in the month and hope they follow through this time.

It’s not often you can find a hairdresser you can let have free reign over your hair, and have them nail it every time. This is Peter-John. He always makes me look professional but gives me a cut that can be fun too.

Each service was excellent. The Delia’s massage was one of the best I’ve ever received. The facial was truly amazing and Stacy’s Mani-Pedi was gentle and perfect. I waited a long time for this treat and it was truly worth the wait.

Beautiful salon and the people are very nice, but I had the worst coloring experience and “haircut”. I asked for my hair to a chocolate brown with caramel highlights, after three attempts to “fix it” I got pink highlights and my hair is still a tinge of red. I was charged $300 for this experience, $98 was for my “haircut” that was a simple trim. I asked for the dead ends to be take of and some shape for when I wear my long hair down. I wish I had my dried, grown out blonde-brunette hair. I looked better walking into Akari than the two separate times I left. They did try to fix it, but in the attempt to fix it I was given three different people who had no idea what the “original look” I wanted was and just kept telling me “oh it’s just another glaze, you’ll be good.” Sick to my stomach thinking I paid so much money to want a wear a hat every where I go.
