Towed my vehicle into the shop on a Tuesday around 4pm for a coolant leak. Vehicle was looked at/diagnosed on Wednesday at 4pm and permission for work was given. I was told my vehicle should be completed by Thursday mid-day. I waited for an updated phone call on Thursday but never received a call. I drove to the shop to check on the status of my vehicle at 3pm on Thursday to find that my vehicle wasn't even halfway done. The shop told me they would try their best to complete before closing at 530, which was reasonable. I got a call at 530 saying they weren't able to complete it before close, which I said was understandable. I requested a ride to pickup my vehicle in the morning after a meeting at 8am.
I arranged for a ride to pickup my vehicle at 1030am on Friday morning. The transport provided by the shop was timely, professional, and very friendly! I arrived at the shop to find that my vehicle was still not complete. I waited at the shop for an hour before my car was released to me. I drove the car out of the shop and 5 minutes down the road, the check engine light came on from a vacuum line leak. I returned back to the shop to have them reinspect/correct their work. The tech who worked on the car said they were insure of the correct diagram for hooking up the vacuum lines as there were a couple options to choose from. I was upset because none of this was explained to me when I paid and picked up my vehicle. The tech never said a word to me, nor did the person who went over my paperwork and took my payment. Very confusing, worrying, and overall frustrating. I received another shuttle home while they fixed their work. 2 hours later I was picked up and reassured the issues had been addressed and fixed, which they were.
Overall: I took my vehicle in Tuesday at 4pm and didn't drive it home fixed until Friday at 430pm. I realize I did not have an appointment as I had a breakdown and had my vehicle towed to the shop, but still, the time for diagnosis and 4 hours of labor/repair took 3 full business days. The staff and shuttle service are very friendly and professional, I have no complaints about that whatsoever. The miscommunication on the work and the time are the major factors that will more than likely keep me from returning to this shop unfortunately.
