The tech spent a long time trying to get our compressor going, which I appreciate. I was able to schedule a service call swiftly. I did have an unusual incident with the service technician. He took the shocking step of illustrating a story of how he got charged with assault by grabbing a woman's arm after feeding feral cats by grabbing my right arm and jerking upward. As I'm recovering from a complex shoulder surgery, I'm still having issues functioning on a normal level after this incident and I'm in pain. I didn't want to call and complain because, honestly, he has clear boundary and anger issues and some limited capacity to understand social situations or some similar issues and he has our address, but upon further reflection, I'd like to know if someone got injured and hurt from actions of an employee of a company I own.
In addition to the unprofessional conduct of the tech, I'd hoped to have a quote for a new heat pump system, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a professional quote with details, just two model numbers at the bottom of a receipt. This isn't what I expected for a device that costs thousands of dollars and didn't make me hopeful that the company or representatives of the company could work in a professional manner. He did not check the furnace either, so it's impossible that I got an accurate quote.
Frankly I'm disappointed for lots of reasons and we're getting heat pump quotes elsewhere. The thoroughness of the other quotes from other companies, and time spent ensuring the other companies are able to access the furnace and replace the piping has confirmed my initial impression that I didn't get an accurate heat pump install quote.
