I came to Allure for a 50 min birthday massage. My therapist, Rose, suggested 80 mins of her specialty: Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. It was by far the best massage I ever had, and I've had many!

As I entered the room, I felt the difference; tropical scent and room decor, gentle moving waters projected on the ceiling, waves rolling in behind lovely Hawaiian music. You lay on a heated, vinyl table cover under the sheet and duvet, which allows the gliding manipulations to go under your back and legs using your body weight for pressure. The therapist's lower arms and hands move in long flowing strokes, that move over your body like ocean waves.... along with knuckles, fists, forearm bones and elbows to deliver broad, deep pressure if you want that, as I do! Other special touches include hot massage cream, scented steam towels and your choice of coconut water, pineapple infused water or filtered ice water.

Rose has many modalities to choose from when specializing her treatment for you. I had some Thai reflexology done on my feet and Thai yoga massage stretches on my calves, quads and hips. She even fixed some low back pain in my SI joint! I left Allure feeling rejuvenated and euphoric. It was indeed a "Stay-cation" and I will be back on a regular basis for more Lomi Lomi with senior therapist Rose Brigmon.
