Have been visiting Alta Vista Animal Hospital since my wife and I moved to Montrose in 2015. Brought Big Boy in for his annual wellness check and Feline Leukemia shot (10/10/2017). Dr. Rumrill and her staff love their animal patients, and respect their patient's owners. The care given here is first rate, and our cats don't go anywhere else for their Veterinary needs. We have had normal annual visits, surgeries, and emergency visits. We are feline centered, and trust Dr. Rumrill with our animal companions. I highly recommend Alta Vista for your cats care.
Staff worked us in on short notice. Dr. And staff was very concerned and their level of care was top notch. Teddy is doing much better now and we could not be happier with the level of care we receive from Alta Vista. Thank you
As a pet owner, I feel it is very important for pet & owner to not be separated when the veternarian is performing an examination on my pet. I've never been to an animal clinic where this has occurred, except at Alta Vista. Not sure if this is standard procedure, but has happened to me 3 times w/ 3 different pets.
Later, I was allowed to enter the examination room after the vet had checked my pet over.
However, I did observe another client w/ her dog at this clinic go into the treatment room w/ her dog at the get go.
When I asked if I could go into the examination room w/ my cat, the vet assistant was hesitant and informed me she would return as soon as my cat was examined. Therefore, my experiences at this clinic is not pleasant & comfortable w/ me.
