I recently had a root canal done last month by a different dentist than usual that I see. When scheduling for my temp cap I was told that I could see any dentist. I decided to stay with that same dentist.
I went to my appointment but was unable to follow through with the temp cap due to pain. So I had to make a follow up appointment after completion of antibiotics and decreased pain. I go to the receptionist this time and she says you have to see the same dentist you started with, which was unfortunate that I couldn’t because my work schedule conflicted with this dentist days that they worked. So I asked the receptionist why it was different this time as to last time when she said that it didn’t matter which dentist I saw? She asks one of her coworkers to see if I could use my primary dentist this time since my work schedule worked with this one’s schedule at this point to finish my cap. Appointment made.
Three weeks later..
When I arrived to my appointment, the receptionist came to me and said that they were confused on which dentist I wanted to see. I’m not sure what the confusion was because I’ve had this appointment booked for three weeks. I see my primary dentist staring at me through the glass door waiting to see what the receptionist will return back to him to say.
Never have I had a problem with my primary dentist. Not with the one who did my root canal procedure. The whole time my primary dentist was doing my temp cap provider I felt uncomfortable. Not only that but the fact that you can not do a payment plan with the dentist office is obscured!! After I get my permanent cap I will not be returning to this dentist. I feel so embarrassed.
