I told you I wanted very much to attend my granddaughter's graduation from college but couldn't drive my SUV that far with the bad muffler and wanted to know if you did that kind of work or I should go to a muffler shop. I also told you I needed the rear-door handle fixed or replaced, and the hood release fixed. I made it clear that time and money were both factors, and you said you could look and see if the exhaust system really just needed clamps or if it was more. I also asked if I should approach a body shop about the other repairs; you assured me that wasn't necessary. So I trusted you to assess and advise on all three problems. Your disappointing service cost me dearly. I had made the appt well ahead of time and had the car there at 9 a.m. as promised. When your driver dropped me at home, I checked my phone and saw an attempted incoming call from you but no msg. Because I had asked that you call ASAP but not order any parts 'til we discussed what needed to be done, I was hoping this meant I'd lucked out and that when you looked you saw it DID only need clamps on the muffler. I called and was told that the office hadn't tried to call but you'd check with the mechanic and call me back. At 4:40 I still hadn't heard back so I again called the office. This time I was told you not only couldn't handle the muffler part of the job but hadn't even checked the cost to fix the hatch handle or the hood release. So you had my car all day and did nothing. I was stuck at home all day when, if you'd checked when I dropped it off and called right away, maybe I'd have had time to check a couple other shops. Instead, I got the car back seven hours later in exactly the same condition as I'd left it there and it was too late to call other shops. And the next day I was back to my job. So you did nothing to solve any one of the three problems and took all day to tell me, thus fixing it so I didn't have time to go elsewhere for help. That was really crappy.
