This was my child's fist appointment. My child was behaving so well and doing great in spite of this being the first time. The dental hygienist was great. Very patient and kind demeanor. My child did very well with him. The experience with the dentist was not the same. It was very impersonal he didn't even really acknowledge my child at first, just pretty much said "get on the chair and open your mouth". My child you can tell didn't warm up to him that much as he was a bit dry. I finally got my child on the chair and he was reluctant to open his mouth, at which point Dr. Agrawal says, "open your mouth or I can open it". I didn't like the way he said this, and then immediately started scolding us "This is why you have to bring your child at a younger age...makes my job easier..." My child is 3 and yes, I should have brought him earlier, however he was perfectly fine at the beginning of the appointment and even seemed to be having a good time. He also does very well at his pediatrician's office where he meets many different doctors that have examined his mouth since he was a week old and he has never had a problem. Without even giving my child a moment to cooperate, he just went in to his mouth and started his examination. My child started crying and I could tell that he had been scared by the doctor, which I understand was not the doctor's intention, but he also didn't really seem to care. At the end of the exam again, he didn't acknowledge my child whereas someone else would have said "good job buddy or just showed some kindness, I mean, you are working with children. I'm sure he is very good at his field but I did not have a good experience with him. Everything else was great, no wait time, and the rest of the staff was very friendly. I would still recommend the office and I look forward to having a better experience in June. Thank You.
