My initial Appointment went well, when I was done with the Doctor a lady was taking me up front to see the people who sell you glasses and I told her I don't need glasses and she insisted and was not listening to me, I waited for a half hour when someone asked me did you want to purchase glasses? like she was expecting me to say no and I told her I had repeatedly I did not need glasses and she made me go anyway. I also saw the lady who had helped examine my eyes and told her what had happened and she thanked me for informing her. Allan Templeton

To early for a review. Glasses tend to slide up and down the bridge of my nose. Have had one repair and 2 adjustments within less then 5 months. Eye exam's have been excellent.

I had the Lasek procedure that turned out really well.

So, I am really pleased with Andersen Eye Associates.

Dr. Hazen did the procedure.

He and Dr. Donahue split the follow-up visits for my surgery.

Positives:

When you check-in at the front reception, there have been numerous times when I've been called to the back before I even get a chance to sit down.

In addition, I got hit in the eye by my nephew and was able to get in the next day for a check-up.

Negatives:

Andersen runs similar to your dentist's office.

You see an assistant first, then you "wait for the doctor".

In most visits I've had to Andersen, I am shown to the lounge in the back (west end) of the facility with windows facing the open fields.

I think it is here where most of the negative stuff occurs.

There are two televisions and a few magazines, but it can get boring especially if your eyes are dilated!

You can sit there for awhile as patients have completely different wait times.

Maybe the solution is more updates from the staff at how far behind/ahead the doctors are in their day.

Before my Dad passed away, I took him to his eye appointments at another facility and it was even bigger then Andersen.

I was really big and confusing (and frustrating for Dad), just to get around

Summary:

Andersen Eye is big enough that you can get in the next day.

Anderson Eye is big enough to have a huge selection of vision products and services.

Andersen Eye is big enough that sometimes you can feel forgot about.

I was 15 minutes late, due to weather and I am handicapped so it took time to get me a wheel chair, so by the time I got paper work filled out they told me I would have to reschedule, because if they put drops in my eyes they wouldn't be able to go to lunch. I have waited for them many of times in the past, but come on , they all had to go to lunch at the same time. I guess patients aren't important enough to miss lunch, I worked in the health care field for 33 years and I have missed more than 1 lunch for a patient. It was hard enough to get in and out of the car without having to try and do it again.

Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor is simply professional. The staff is always very friendly and more than willing to help you understand any part of the procedure involved.
