Why would you take your furry family anywhere else for veterinary care when AHCC is in your backyard? My pets have been patients at Dr. Mark Dew's Animal HealthCare Center since it opened over a decade ago. Dr. Dew has hand-picked the best staff personnel starting at the top with the Hospital Supervisor Lindsey Chamblin-Smith who has been with him for over ten years running a well-oiled machine and wearing many, many hats, Susan, Amber and Cass who run the very efficient front desk, technicians and kennel helpers to numerous to remember by name and caring, compassionate associates like Dr. Leah Dial-Fillip, my pets vet of choice, and Dr. Heather Edwards, Kelly Dew AHCC's Administrator and occasionally Garrett and Alexis Dew helping out and last but not least, Bravo the resident cat overseer of the entire operation. They have always treated my furry kids as you and I would like to be treated by our own personal physicians. Everyone at AHCC over the years has been our biggest cheerleaders in the great times and our compassionate, understanding, caring individuals with huge hearts and loving arms giving much needed hugs and passing the Kleenex and crying with us through the not so good times with our losses. As we have just added a new furry kid, our almost 4 years old beautiful retired greyhound named Della to our family, we look forward to many great visits to AHCC knowing that all of our pets are treated with love and great care by the best 'friends' in the cleanest, state of the art facility right in our backyard. The Schwartz family couldn't be more pleased and proud to recommend AHCC to anyone needing a high quality veterinary practice.
We've been bringing our dog Cole to Dr. Dew for 11 years, and he has always provided excellent care. Just before Cole's 11th birthday, we were faced with the scary diagnosis of a tumor on Cole's spleen. After Dr. Dew carefully analyzed the situation and ordered the testing that needed to be done, he performed surgery on Cole which saved his life. We are so grateful and happy that Cole is doing so well, he is his happy self again, swimming and enjoying life. We are lucky to have such a skilled Doctor and surgeon. We are so grateful to Dr. Dew, and Lindsay /Tech Assistant, and the entire office staff for providing quality care to Cole.
Outstanding as always. Dr. Fillip and the rest of the staff are the best. She knows our dog and knows us, and always gives the best care and advice. And Bravo the cat is always there to greet us. Animal HealthCare Center just "gets it." They know how important our dog is to us, and they feel the same way about their own animals. They're the best.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I appreciated the follow-up phone call to make sure my cat was doing ok after receiving a shot. I also appreciated the print-out with what was dome on the day we visited plus other recommendations.
My husband and I have an average size Yorkie with the disposition of an angel. Her name is Sadie and she's in her " later " years at 13. We weren't completely happy with the care she was given at her previous vet so a friend recommended all Drs. Dew, Edwards and Phillips at Animal HealthCare Center.
Although we don't live very close to their office, these vets are well worth the extra drive ! They are all extremely knowledgeable and extremely caring, without being " alarmist's ." I found they preferred NOT to put my dog through unnecessary surgery when a "lump" appeared on the lower region of her stomach. They aspirated it to find it was only fatty tissue and have all agreed it was unnecessary for " cosmetic " reasons to put her through surgery.
I must say, we also appreciate their techs and front desk people. In particular, we adore their lovely receptionist, Susan. We also cannot say how good it makes us feel when Susan calls us after Sadie's visit to check up on how she is feeling.
I would highly recommend Dr. Dew and ALL his staff without an ounce of hesitation !
