Why would you take your furry family anywhere else for veterinary care when AHCC is in your backyard? My pets have been patients at Dr. Mark Dew's Animal HealthCare Center since it opened over a decade ago. Dr. Dew has hand-picked the best staff personnel starting at the top with the Hospital Supervisor Lindsey Chamblin-Smith who has been with him for over ten years running a well-oiled machine and wearing many, many hats, Susan, Amber and Cass who run the very efficient front desk, technicians and kennel helpers to numerous to remember by name and caring, compassionate associates like Dr. Leah Dial-Fillip, my pets vet of choice, and Dr. Heather Edwards, Kelly Dew AHCC's Administrator and occasionally Garrett and Alexis Dew helping out and last but not least, Bravo the resident cat overseer of the entire operation. They have always treated my furry kids as you and I would like to be treated by our own personal physicians. Everyone at AHCC over the years has been our biggest cheerleaders in the great times and our compassionate, understanding, caring individuals with huge hearts and loving arms giving much needed hugs and passing the Kleenex and crying with us through the not so good times with our losses. As we have just added a new furry kid, our almost 4 years old beautiful retired greyhound named Della to our family, we look forward to many great visits to AHCC knowing that all of our pets are treated with love and great care by the best 'friends' in the cleanest, state of the art facility right in our backyard. The Schwartz family couldn't be more pleased and proud to recommend AHCC to anyone needing a high quality veterinary practice.
I feel as though the facility and the staff up front are trained to nickel and dime their way to a much higher bill than initially discussed. I spent $522.00 on my two dogs getting shots and $518.50 on my cat getting some shots and declaw all in one week. I called ahead both times and got a quote but then when in the exam roof the tech seemed very confused with what shots my dogs were getting and the tab got racked up. My wife called ahead regarding our cat and when i paid my bill was $200.00 more then quoted. I was asked at the counter if I wanted a certain shot if the cat has ever coughed. I said NO! I picked the cat up the next day and was charged for the shot anyway. I asked why and I was told that they always do that shot. I said then why was I even asked. I have two sets of good friends who will not be returning customer as well due to having similar experiences. When they tried to speak with the staff and say they will not be coming back they said the staff acted as though they could not care less.
