I have a senior dog (14.5 yrs old , male Shih-Stzu), diagnosed cushing disease with no symptoms but only based on 0.1 borderline elevation of one test parameter. LFTs and Kidney profiles were normal including urine test and thyroid profile. This vet would like to place my dog on long-term treatment and I was afraid of side effects or development of new disease to be caused by the drug. I just felt milking me with money and taking advantage using my dog as a tool to pay all different expenses diagnosing my dog. I have decided to see another vet for second opinion.
I have consulted with Dr. Edwards and found her competent comparing to other vets. She reviewed and analyzed test results performed from other clinic. I felt comfortable with her interpretations and explained in detailed according to test results findings. I have decided to continue taking my baby to Dr. Edward's care. I have to include Keith (Technician) who was so friendly with my dog and did a good job as well.
