Extremely disappointed in the way the veterinarian treated my dog. She continually asked if he was usually super sensitive. She also wanted to know if he would bite. She then muzzled him to exam his left leg because he was limping. We have never had to have our dog muzzled before. The doctor then told us that she was having difficulty examine him and perhaps he would need to be sedated so she could examine him. Our dog is a nine pound twelve year old dog who is extremely meek. The doctor told us because of his age, he needed blood tests as well as xrays. When we questioned the cost of this, we were told they could do a smaller panel which would cost less. The doctor also told us that maybe the dog needed to have a screening for tick borne disease. It seemed as if the doctor was more interested in selling services than treating the dog by making suggestions for why he was limping rather than finding an answer. It was almost like a telemarketer who can make more money by selling you services that are not needed. We have used Markboro Animal Hospital for well over twenty years. I am extremely sad that a place that I thought I could place my trust in is no longer there.
