Our cat had a negative reaction to a vaccine administered by the vet. He was totally lethargic and not himself. He stayed motionless in
one place for over 7 hours. He did not eat or drink or respond to us as he normally does. We thought that he was on his way out.
Heaven forbid. We spoke to an emergency vet at 4:00 in the morning and she suggested that the distemper shot should be discontinued
in the case of a totally indoor and older cat. When our cat is seen again at Ardmore Animal Hospital, his future vaccine should be
preceded with a dose of Benadryl. His permanent record should note his reaction to the immunization shots. We have a healthy and
loving pet and we want him around and to keep him well.
