About

Dr. Wood's passion about his profession continues to grow after over 25 years in the in the field of Rehabilitation. He began his career in the field of Physical Therapy working at an out patient Orthopedic Rehabilitation clinic working alongside both Orthopedists and Physical Therapists. He also worked at his school's Rehabilitation Center, while completing his Undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from Cal State University, Fullerton. He went on to Graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where he served as the President of the school's Sports Injury Council.

He attends numerous seminars, adding to his ever growing skill set. These include rehabilitation, exercise, biomechanics, treatment of motor vehicle accidents, functional taping, and numerous soft tissue techniques. He has attained Certifications as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, in Functional Movement Assessment, MUA (Manipulation Under Anesthesia), FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation ), and DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) Exercise.

Dr.Wood is the owner of Arizona Sports Chiropractic and currently serves as the team Chiropractor/Medical Consultant for Arizona Christian University.

Dr. Wood's unique skill set, experience and variety of treatment tools are what separate him from most Practitioners in the Valley. He fuses his experience and education in Physical Medicine along with Chiropractic to provide a highly comprehensive approach to treatment. Furthermore, his use of the combination of two techniques that only a select number of Chiropractors or Physical Therapists are certified in, Functional Movement Assessment and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), provide the means to determine the true cause of the condition and a highly customized plan to treat it.
