My dentist left the practice and I was never notified. I was told that at the conclusion of a root canal, I would have to pay @$750 out of pocket and that my first cleaning of the year would not be covered because I used up all of my Delta Dental insurance (I did not have any other service this current year). I questioned this, but was left with no real reason; so I assumed that a root canal was very costly. Then I received a text message about an upcoming appointment (which I did not have), I again questioned about my $750 and was told they would look into it and if it was a mistake, I would be reimbursed. I did go back for a cleaning and the money was never mentioned. It wasn't until I had tooth pain from my root canal area that I called Delta Dental. Not only was I informed that I still had over $700 left in my account, but I was also told that Delta paid for my root canal!!! I then drove to Atwill-Conroy and questioned this AGAIN and was told , "It looks like you have a $700 plus credit" . I had to go back a few days later to be reimbursed. Had I not had pain, left over from a bad crown and root canal, I would have never known that I was pretty much robbed of over $700. Not only that, I still experience pain in that tooth every day!
