I enjoyed my experience at Aveda Fredric's Institute! The students were talented, the educators helpful, the facilities clean, and the service was great. I am very happy with my cut and will be back in the future!

I requested an all over color. I had a previous disagreement with a stylist that left me in a nasty color with funky brassy highlights. The student who did my all over color was GREAT! She patiently discussed what I wanted and mixed the color perfectly. The entire appointment was great! Very professional and warm.

I very rarely have negative things to say because I've rarely had a negative experience in the 15 years or so that I've been getting my hair done at Aveda. But I was disappointed with the instructor this time. She was short to the point of being rude and did not seem to want to listen to my concerns. My attempt to show her pictures of what I had requested was met with cold disinterest. I've thoroughly enjoyed almost every experience that I have had, but I do not believe that I will be returning. At least not for hair services.

I am extremely disappointed in my hair color. Instead of ash blonde it it dark brown!

It was painted on not pulled through.

I recommend that the instructor be sure the student understands the formula before proceeding.

Our this time was eh. This was the first time we were there during weekday hours, and it was busy. I felt very crammed in, with guests on either side of me, and the noise level between students talking with their guests, and the class in the back echoed into the salon area. My student was nice enough, but did not engage in any conversation. After the instructor did the initial consultation, she just went straight into work. There was another student and guest in the blue room, having a normal voice level conversation; was not relaxing. My student did give me a mini-facial, but after going here for so ling, she missed several steps. She also did not offer the hand massage. When I got home, I also realized that she left lots of dye - in my ears!!! How can you miss that? Color was fine; it will calm down. My daughter had a quiet student as well. She was not offered the facial or hand massage; and didn't even get the blue room experience.We will continue to come, but only on weekends, when there are less people, and happier students!
