I’m sorry to say I probably won’t be going back to Aveda for any services again. I’ve been customer since day one, but in the last two years I’ve seen a decline. They still have some very good instructors looking over students, but I think there was more involvement before.

My last service by a student was disappointing. I should have said something to her when she had me in a very awkward position doing a color retouch. Instead of putting the chair down she had me slumped down with my neck all the way back. I was hoping a teacher would see this but she was not available. After the student was finished she left and I had to get up and go find the teacher to check her work before to much time went by. The student didn’t wipe my neck while I was sitting there and I had to remind her at the end to use the product to remove the stain from my neck. I noticed my coat collar had a brown stain line from the coloring which made since ,because she had rinsed my hair very quickly. Having said all of this, I know these are students and I don’t expect perfection or anything close,and maybe it was just an off day, but it hasn’t seemed the same the past few times I have been there. Going to try a few other place and maybe give it a try at the end of year.

P.S. I have given some really good reviews in the past for great service.

students should learn to balance having a conversation with client and performing a service. If the student talks too much, maybe because of nervousness or whatever, the service is prolonged and sometimes clients are pressed for time. Student was very nice and polite. Thanks
