My husband and I came in to get our haircuts a week or so ago. He had a picture reference on his phone, and I knew exactly what I wanted and described it to the stylist. My stylist still had me look up picture references in a magazine, and I tried to describe to her using two pictures what I wanted. She acted like she understood, but cut my hair at least two inches shorter than I wanted, and without the angle that I'd requested, and angled my bangs for some weird reason (I wanted an angled bob and straight bangs at my eyebrows, I came away with a more 20's style bob that only came down an inch or so under my ears and ended well above my jaw, and angled bangs). Meanwhile, the stylist who did my husband's hair completely ignored his reference and gave him a men's classic in the back, but left it too long and textured, and feminine, which he pointed out to the stylist, with curved edges, and longish bangs. He was very displeased with it, especially since it drew attention to where his hair has been thinning while he's on chemotherapy. He'd explained to his stylist that he wanted something that would hide his hair loss, and instead was left with something very short that showed his balding patches. When he brought up his displeasure with it, the stylist just made it a little bit shorter, but didn't fix the texturing and overall problems with it, and was assured it would be okay in the end, though it was already dry and mostly finished. I'll just let my hair grow out, but he was so upset and distressed about his hair that we ended up going to Toni & Guy and having it fixed the best they could. We will not be returning to Axis in the future.

The haircut quality was not up to par with salon level. There may have been some misunderstanding with thd stylist. I am glad my hair grows quickly. This cut was way shorter than intended, and not the most flattering cut I've ever gotten.

The salon and staff are excellent. However, I was not pleased with the haircut I received, but the service is excellent. My haircut wasn't what I had asked for.

I was extremely displeased with the service I received at Axis. I scheduled an appointment at the 3rd & Copper location, and when I went to the appointment, the store was dark, locked and closed. I called the other location (5th & Copper) and she assured me the stylist would be there any minute. I waited 15 more minutes and the stylist still never showed up. After calling the other location again, they told me that I could walk down to their salon and they would get me in (how nice of them!). I arrived at their 5th & Copper location, waited about 10 minutes and then they took me back (35 minutes after my original appointment was scheduled at their other location). The woman who washed my hair to get me ready for the stylist asked how I wanted my hair cut. I specifically described I wanted a trim straight across, with no layers and no more than an inch cut off. When the sylist arrived, she only spoke Spanish, so the first woman had to translate what I wanted. Needless to say, about 3 inches was taken off of my hair along with some sort of strange small layer. It is a terrible haircut, it's uneven and now I have to go to a different salon to get it fixed. I don't know how this place gets to use the "Aveda" name because it is definitely not Aveda quality! Don't go here!!

Sandra did a GREAT job on my hair; loved that she teased my hair to give it some "umph" and style. Loved the neck and head massage! Just wish I could communicate better with her, as she is predominantly Spanish speaking and I am "all" English speaking. In the future, I will still request Sandra, though, if she would like to continue doing my hair. Thanks. Mary

P.S. I did refer Dorothy Billau. That's why she went to your shop in the Hyatt!
