I took my female cat here to be spayed & paid $115. She did well in surgery, but within one week she had busted her deep stitches. We followed the after care instructions to a tee. I ended up sending pictures to the clinic and they told me to bring her on the following day.
When I arrived they took her back for vitals and within minutes told me she needed to go back into surgery that day to repair where the internal stitches had busted and her insides were bulging thru the hole. They said she did well on surgery and I picked her up later that afternoon. While picking her up I asked how I could prevent this from happening. They suggested I buy a cat body suit for $30 and have her wear her cone which I already had purchased. They never suggested a body suit or offered it to us on her first surgery. So I ended walking out spending another $100. Before I left I asked about the size of the body suit. They ensured it was the appropriate size for my cat. I got home and the body suit was huge on my cat. It was like 4 inches longer than my cat, making her trip n fall n continuously get her back legs get caught on the back leg holes. She just had surgery now I'm having to dress her, watch her fall over n over again, and struggle, then I have to undress her all right around the area she was operated on. I've never heard of a place that doesn't put the proper dressing on the pet after being operated on
N that body suit did absolutely nothing to help my cat after surgery. It was literally like a baby onesie with a tail hole. It not only was way too big but even if it fit the thin poor made cotton suit had no support around her waist or incision.
24 hours After her second surgery, she was still acting really funny. She was secluding herself, hiding in my closet and under the bed- places she has never gone. She was falling over and couldn't walk straight. She looked really sick and wouldn't eat or drink. This was all different than how she acted after her first surgery so I reached out to the clinic for assistance. It was Friday after clinic hours, so I contacted the phone # on the after care instructions. 602- 688-0549. I called 2 times at 9:21pm & 9:26pm. No one answered& I left a voicemail too. I then also text messaged the number as the care instructions paper told me to. I never received a call back or text all evening. I texted it again the following day to let them know my disappointment in them not answering as they were supposed to be the after hours / emergency technician there for if anything abnormal happened after surgery. The response from the after hours technician that I received the day after stated they went to bed at 11pm. Well that's over an hour & a half after I was calling & texting for assistance. And if someone is being paid to answer the phone after hours shouldnt they answer it and not be sleeping? Oh and by the way, their care instructions state if you choose to go to an emergency clinic due to complications from them operating on your animal, they are not financially responsible. Well wouldn't it be nice if their after hours technician would answer, so they could advise me on whether the situation was emergent.....
I will be cancelling my other spay and neuter of my kittens & will NOT every take another one of my animals here!
